The Kopice Palace, also known as the "Palace on the Water", was once surrounded by extensive ponds from all sides. It is surrounded by an impressive 60-hectare park. Its interiors once housed excellent collections of sculptures and paintings, hunting trophies, and collections of rare books and armor. The palace used to be the place of visit of the most outstanding European aristocracy. There were princes, barons, artists and politicians. Until 1945 it was the property and seat of one of the largest German families, the Schaffgotsch family. After the war in 1945, the residence was robbed many times: first by the Red Army, then by the Security Service, and then by looters. In 1956 he was set on fire, which caused him considerable damage. The building of the palace was crowned with two four-sided towers, the higher of them in the eastern part, crowned with high multi-pitched roofs with spiers. Originally in the north-east wing, an orangery and a rose garden. In the southern part the chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The palace was covered with a high hipped roof. From the north-west, a stone bridge over the palace moat connected to the pond.
