Formerly under the name Operetta Silesian Theater in Gliwice operating since 2001. The repertoire of the Gliwice Musical Theater includes both classical operettas (E. Kálmán's Princess Czardsza, K. Zeller's Tyrolean from Tirol, J. Offenbach's Orpheus in Hell, Vienna's Blood and Revenge of the Bat J. Strauss, The Merry Widow by F. Lehár, Flower of Hawaii P. Ábraháma) as well as musicals (Zorba J. Kander, Footloose T. Snow, Hello, Dolly! J. Herman, They play our song N. Simon and M. Hamlisch, 42 street H. Warren, Ragtime S. Flaherty). This certain two-way artistic development of the theater is to ensure meeting the expectations of two types of audience: the one attached to the operetta repertoire recently dominant in Gliwice, and the one interested in contemporary forms of musical theater. The Gliwice Music Theater is also the organizer of cyclical theater and film events. The GST program is supplemented by Children's Theater Meetings - each year presenting "children's" theater repertoire from Poland and abroad - and Autumn Theater - an October review of the work of a selected ensemble.
