The zoo was founded in 1936. The number of traditional cages has been reduced to a minimum, thanks to which visitors have the impression that they are walking among slow-moving animals. The runs are large, situated among trees. Tourists can take advantage of many interesting options of watching animals, e.g. there are bunkers from which one can unnoticed watch the lives of wolves. There are many attractions waiting for visitors. Playgrounds are places eagerly visited not only by children, but also by their parents. Also MINI ZOO was created especially for children, where children can have direct contact with animals and even feed them with granules purchased in special machines. Among the lush greenery there are picnic places and gastronomic points, there is also an inn under the oaks where you can eat a delicious dinner. The garden is located on the island of Bolko.
