The oldest, historic part of Śródmieście in Bielsko-Biała located on the City Hill and having a preserved medieval urban layout. The hill covers an area of ​​4 ha and has the shape of an irregular oval measuring 300 x 200 m with a rectangular market square in the middle, from which four corners run out for two perpendicular narrow streets and the church area from the south. It is a typical urban layout for the location of medieval Silesian cities created in the era of settlement under the Magdeburg Law. Today's Old Town is a place popular not only among tourists, but also the inhabitants of Bielsko-Biała, who find art galleries, night clubs and restaurants.
