The palace was built in 1882-1885. Until the end of World War II, the building belonged to the von Ballerstrem family of industrial magnates from Italy. The palace and park complex consists of a palace with a chapel, farm buildings, an outbuilding with a stable and a coach house - all in the style of Dutch Neo-Mannerism with many neo-Gothic additions and the landscape park surrounding the palace. The first point of visiting is the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, consecrated in 1885, impressive with its splendor and richness of colors. Next we have beautiful palace rooms restored and decorated like original ones. The library has a unique collection of African instruments and folk works of art. There is also a large concert hall and a conference room. The beautiful park around the palace has 3.5 ha.
