The exhibition and exhibition center located in the Sosnowiec district of Zagórze at 124 Braci Mieroszewskich Street is the largest of its kind in the Silesian-Zagłębie agglomeration. The exhibition halls were built on the premises of the bankrupt Silma factory, where engines for Frania washing machines and Zelmer vacuum cleaners were once made. Each year, Expo Silesia hosts nearly 40 trade fair events that gather nearly 3,000 exhibitors and are visited by over 70,000 guests from Poland and from abroad. The scope of implemented events includes mass events, large industrial, international fairs and specialized economic exhibitions. The location and nature of the events organized make Expo Silesia a platform for business and technological exchange between Silesia, Lesser Poland and the Ostrava district of the Silesian-Moravian region in the Czech Republic.
