The Castle Park is inseparably connected with the residence of the Pszczyna princes. It stretches over the area of 48 ha, along the Pszczynka River and is considered the most beautiful in Silesia. The beginnings of the park in Pszczyna date back to the mid-16th century, while the current shape of the English-style landscape park dates back to the second half of the 19th century. In the park, among the backwaters of the river and rich old trees and picturesque clusters of shrubs, historic landscape architecture has been incorporated, including "Ludwikówka" manor house, tea pavilion on the island, Chinese gate, ice cellar, chapels and arch bridges. There are also princely graves Anhaltów (in the northern part of the park) and Hochbergów (in the western part). Strolling along the park alleys, it is worth looking at the trees - there are numerous magnificent and powerful pedunculate oaks, chestnut trees, yews, weymouth pines, small-leaved lindens, common ash, common bulbs and red bulbs, hornbeams, elms, maples, silver spruces, willows and tulip trees. Among the many interesting shrubs, noteworthy are the beautiful specimens of rhododendrons (rhododendrons), beautifully blooming in late spring, and no less beautiful, although smaller azaleas.
